About us
Ever had a good idea for something and wished that you could make it? The ‘Makerspace’ movements is a worldwide community of people who shared your wish, and then decided to do something about it. We are a not-for-profit community workshop for people who like making, building, repairing, collaborating and creating, and pulling things apart, sharing and learning new skills, whether it is Art, Electronics, Computing, Robotics or anything else.
Our space is open to kids, adults, and entrepreneurs and have a variety of maker equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters, cnc machines, soldering irons and even sewing machines.
The idea of Makerspace is that it will provide two things: tools, equipment, technology for the community to create, make and craft objects of one’s imagination; and to provide a community of practice where ideas, making, collaboration, and energy can come together to allow the innovation and invention to happen in the space.
We believe that by embracing design thinking and a maker-mindset, education can be more engaging and meaningful, and with that more effective in preparing students for success.
The founding members were inspired to address issues like lack of technical and hands-on skills of the students especially, in STEM fields, in our community and the need for such centers to give students and other community members the platform to enhance their creativity and technical skills.
Our mission is to offer collaboration space for students and others who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) fields of study.
Training people who aren’t experts and helping kids learn things like robotics and coding, we can scale STEAM education quickly and efficiently.
Our vision is to inspire a life-long love of technical and hands-on learning.
Inspiring youth and students to be lifelong learners who contribute positively to a diverse and changing world.
